Community Led Action on Pest Control

As part of the Victorian Governments Partnerships against Pests initiative SGLN aims to build capacity amongst the community to control invasive weeds and pest animals.

The project will launch on Thursday 15 August with a full day Weed and Pest Control Seminar at the Leongatha Memorial Hall. Field experts, stakeholders, contractors, SGLN staff and community members will come together to learn and discuss how we can tackle some of the most destructive and problematic pests in the region.

As part of the project SGLN will then facilitate the formation of 2 pest animal or weed control groups. The focus of each group will be based on feedback from the community. Each group will have the opportunity to participate in 2 workshops and develop a long term weed or pest control management plan for their property.
